NC FBLA State Parliamentarian
March
To NC FBLA
It is hard to believe that this is my last time writing my regional post. After two years serving as your parliamentarian, my term officially ends next week. I’d like to say thank you to everyone reading this. While it is hard to put it into words, just know that every one of you means a great deal to me. It has been an honor to serve you for the past two years. I have had the best experiences, met the most incredible people, and learned so much along the way. Thank you to Mrs. Thomas for all of the hard work you continuously do. We, as a delegation, could not be successful without your tireless work. Thank you to the board members, who have such a great impact on NC FBLA. Thank you to my team, for making this year so successful. While there has been numerous setbacks and complications, we have completed so many of our goals set. I could not be more proud of each of us. And finally, thank you to North Carolina FBLA for being the best state chapter there is. None of us would have any success if it wasn’t for each of you. Your hard work and dedication is unparalleled.
While this post is definitely more sentimental and personal, I still want to address the following important reminders for your success:
As SLC is quickly approaching, it is important to be fully prepared for the trip and your competitive event. If you haven’t done so, finalize everything for your event. Be sure to practice, practice, and practice! Confidence is key in a competitive event. Be sure to bring blue jeans, closed toed shoes, and cash (at least a dollar!) for the Blue Jeans for Babies dance Tuesday night. Review the national FBLA dress code here. You will need to follow this dress code at workshops, general sessions, in your competitive events, and on stage during the awards of excellence. You don’t want to miss out on receiving your award due to your attire! Lastly, be sure to listen to your adviser and any announcements they have. This will be school specific, and is very important to be sure you know all that is going on. We can’t wait to see you in Greensboro!

Thank you again, NC FBLA for this incredible opportunity. I am forever grateful.
I cannot wait to see you all March 25-27 in Greensboro, one last time!
